What is IHS?
Individualized Home Supports (IHS) is a waiver service for people who live in their own home. Alchemy Home Healthcare provides IHS without training: our staff give support, cueing, and guidance in the areas listed in your support plan, so you can live the way you choose.
How our staff can help
IHS covers four areas. You receive support in at least one of them, based on your plan:
- Community participation: getting to activities, errands, and appointments, and staying connected with people who matter to you
- Health, safety, and wellness: help arranging appointments, cueing with self-care, and keeping healthy routines
- Household management: meal preparation, cleaning, grocery shopping, paperwork, and keeping your home safe
- Adaptive skills: problem-solving, daily routines, and positive support strategies
Who it’s for
- People on the CADI Waiver (IHS is also available under the BI, CAC, and DD waivers)
- Who live in their own home
- Who have IHS in their support plan
Good to know: IHS comes in three types: without training, with training, and with family training. We currently provide IHS without training. Your case manager can help you decide which type fits your goals.
How to get started
- Talk with your case manager about IHS. They will add it to your support plan.

- We meet with you to learn about your routines and preferences, then match staff to your schedule.
